When does Dune 2 appear?
Directly to the confirmation of the sequel, there is also a release date: Part 2 of Dune will come on October 23, 2023 in the cinemas two years after the release of the first movie. For the fact that the films could not be filmed back-to-back, the waiting time is not as long as some of them feared.
Part 2 of Dune is urgently needed
For director Denis Villeneuve is thus also a dream come true. The French celebrated by critics had already dreamed of implementing the Sci-Fi epic of Frank Herbert - and a movie was not enough for that. He did not want to pack the 412-side novel as in the 1984 version in a cinema visit. But the decision was finally at Warner Bros to approve a sequel to $ 165 million expensive strips with plenty of exposure and politics talc. The open end would have been a bitter pill for fans - after all, the film covers only half of the Romans Dune from 1965.
Villeneuve is also interested in filming the second Dune novel by Frank Herbert: Dune Messiah. Whether it comes to this point is not clear at this point.
Have you seen Dune in the cinema? How did you like the implementation? Did you prefer the Lynch movie of 1984 or the new edition? We are interested in your opinion - packs you in the comments!
