Ex-BVB flop in the Visor of Real Madrid and Chelsea
When promising talent came from the legendary Barca Academy La Masia, Sergio Gómez could never prevail in BVB. The big breakthrough succeeded in this season in the jersey of the RSC Anderlecht. Now the great names of the scene should be on the former Dortmund.
His time at Borussia Dortmund lasted just under 20 months. Between January 2018 and August 2019, Sergio Gómez only played three lots as a substitute for the professionals of BVB, otherwise ran exclusively for the A-youth and the second team of the club.
After the misunderstanding in the Ruhr area followed the two-year return to Spain in Leihbasis at SD Huesca in the summer of 2019. Already there the Gómez established itself in the left center field in a European top league.
But the final breakthrough was followed last year when the BVB final sold him for a little more than two million euros to the Belgian record champion RSC Anderlecht.
Under head coach Vincent kompany is Gómez as a left-back undisputed regular player, already completed 41 competitive games for Anderlecht in the current season, in which he scored six goals. Outstanding are its ten direct goal templates in the Belgian championship.
Also Ajax and Lyon with interest in ex-BVB-Youngster
The strong achievements of the Spanish U21 National Players have long recalled clubs of significantly larger format on the plan.
As it means in a recent report of the English portal "TeamTalk.com", Leeds United is located from the Premier League in the pole position in advertising around Gómez, which should have more than tripled its market value compared to its BVB time.
According to the portal, however, other clubs are interested across Europe at ex-youth player of FC Barcelona. In this context Olympique Lyon from France, Atalanta Bergamo from Italy and Ajax Amsterdam from the Netherlands are mentioned.
Furthermore, Sergio Gómez is even under observation in the reigning Champions League winner FC Chelsea and the Spanish record champion Real Madrid.
At the most concrete, however, the endeavor of Leeds around Ex-Leipzig coach Jesse Marsch to transfer the 21-year-old to the Premier League. Contractually, Gómez is currently bound to the RSC Anderlecht at the long term until 2025.
